Lynn is a passionate force. Don't let her fool you, she'll help you find your edge and make you stronger, help you breathe better and you'll leave her class happy you went. This versatile babe can teach anything from restorative to hot yoga and she's not afraid to challenge you to be the best that you can be.

Her composure is the grounding force that connects you to your movement, turning inward, not worrying about those around you, so you may truly center into your personal practice.

Our international teacher from Germany is also an actor, nanny and our very own Building Liaison. Lynn is an old soul and a traditional leader. We cannot wait for you to enjoy class with her!

1. Being a hOMie is not just a job, it’s a lifestyle. What does it mean to you to be a hOMie?
There's something very powerful about a group of like-minded people coming together to strive towards a goal that his meaningful to them. Especially in an overstimulating place like NY it feels really rewarding to be part of a team that tries to lighten people's days all over this crazy city.

2. We know you teach a variety of different classes from YTTP to hOM. How does your personality come through in your teaching in these various styles?
My teaching style can vary greatly from a hot yoga class to a restorative practice but it's always important to me that my teaching is coming from an authentic place. I'm a lover of the details and look for a sense of fluidity, but in the end it's much more rewarding, in my opinion, to see my students really inhabit a pose than just have ‘perfect’ alignment .

3. What do you like to eat? And then what types of food do you consume on a daily basis?
I'm a huge foodie and will try almost anything. I'm getting better at carving out the time to cook fresh foods at home, but find myself indulging in a good ol’ NY bagel maybe a few too many times a week.

4. What’s your favorite way to break a sweat?
Equally obsessed with hot yoga and cycling classes! It's the perfect combo of Zen and explosive energy.
5. Amidst a busy schedule, it can be challenging to find time to practice. What does your self-practice look like these days?
I love practicing in the heat, so I try to fit in a few heated classes every week. At home I'm usually playing around with new and more creative ways of sequencing my classes as well as deepening my meditation practice.

6. Most embarrassing teaching moment. Dish!
No specific moment comes to mind, but since English isn't my first language, every once in awhile I'll draw a blank when giving alignment cues. “Guys, lift your right… Your right… Nevermind, just breathe” ;)

7. How does nannying complement the rest of your schedule?
Having worked as a caretaker for many years has been a pretty great preparation for being a yoga teacher actually. Kids will keep you on your toes and will keep you real. Plus, they're a great reminder to not take yourself too seriously.

8. What’s your advice for someone wondering if they can do yoga?

If you can breathe, you can do yoga ;)
