Corey and Fran are home from their travels around Asia—yayy! With that has come great perspective for our team in the way that we want to grow our business. We are a health and wellness company and in order to serve the community we must manage a healthy work life balance.

This is not to say that we don’t work hard or need to pull late nights occasionally, but we believe in taking care of our beloved team and ourselves.

Learning how to find your life balance in preparation for the New Year? Here is our #1 tip.

#1 Sleep is priority.

1.  Sleep hygiene is huge.
  • Plug-in your electronics away from your bed, once they’re put away, don’t go back to them.
  • Find a ritual that suites you- it can be as simple as filling your glass of water and putting it beside your bed, to meditating for half an hour, to spending a little time reading.
  • Slow things down, even brushing your teeth so that you’re not rushing to hop in bed.
2.  Rise & Shine at the same time each day.
  • This can be difficult, so cut yourself some slack, we’re all human. But see if you can try to wake up around the same time each day OR go to bed around the same time each night. Make exceptions when you need.
3.  Make a bedtime
  • Look at your schedule for the next day and give yourself a deadline that will allow you time to get ready for bed and get at least 7 hours of sleep before you need to wake up in the morning. The emails, dishes and texts can wait.
